Healing Hearts.

Close to 25% of my work is donated to charitable organizations and individuals. It is important to give. I feel blessed to be able to pass on to those the gift that has been given to me. I wanted write a blog entry to share with you one of the organizations that I volunteer my time and is very close to my heart.

The Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Foundation (NILMDTS) consists of a network of almost 3,000 volunteer professional photographers in the United States and in 8 countries who give the gift of infant bereavement photography, allowing families to honor and cherish their babies and share the spirits of their lives. At a family’s request, a NILMDTS Affiliated Photographer will come to the hospital or hospice location and will conduct a private and sensitive portrait session. The portraits are then professionally retouched and presented to the families on an DVD or CD that can be used to print portraits of their cherished newborn.

I am honored to be associated with such an amazing organization and also my other colleagues all over the world that give of their talents to heal. Please take the time to watch this segment about NILMDTS that aired on the Today Show on March 5, 2008. Thank you and please pass this information onto any family or friends you know that may benefit from these services.
