My client Danielle and I have something in common…we love black and white photography. I have posted the images from today’s session in black in white or a soft sepia…except for the last one that just had to be in color. What a wonderful session! Again…I get to spend time with the most wonderful families. I love my job!
Stay tuned as "the march of the newborns" continues through the month of September. All my expectant moms are delivering in the next week. Be sure to check soon!

I photograph the cutiest kids! These 2 were no exception. We were able to shoot outside as well as indoor in the studio. My studio has huge windows that give the most wonderful lighting. I love it!
Here are some snaps from the shoot. Big sister was posing the whole time. She was entertaining us all.

Wow! I have never really checked out the stats on my blog until this evening. I had no idea that so many have stopped by my blog for a peek. I am honestly blown away! Thank you so much!! I am a little humbled here.
The summer has been amazing. I need to thank all of my wonderful clients for entrusting me with photographing their babies, children, big kids, pregnant bellies, families and weddings. I have been so blessed to spend time and get to know all who I have worked with this summer. Keep in touch and let me know how things are going!
It has been a little chilly here where I live and it feels like Autumn is on its way. Soon we will be meeting the bus in the mornings and the garden will be starting to slow down. It will be great to get into a routine again. With Autumn also comes a very busy work time for me. My session schedule is starting to fill so if you are interested in scheduling an outdoor session this fall please contact me soon so I can get you into the books. I am also booking sessions in Vermont so I will be out of town for a few days in late September. More info to follow if you are visiting my blog from central Vermont. I am finalizing my travel schedule as we speak.
I am booking studio and location holiday sessions already. The deadline for Christmas cards is November 20th this year so please keep this in mind when looking at your calendar for scheduling a session.
Hope to hear from you all soon!
Grazie Mille!

I distinctly remember my mom taking my sister Amy and I for studio portraits when we were young. She was an artist and it was important to her that our portraits be very artistic and stylish. She definitely had a vision for what she wanted. I remember 1 trip to the studio in particular….Amy was 6 and I was 8. What I remember is what we wore that day…brown turtlenecks, brown leather jumpers, black tights and high brown boots (this was 1971…what else would you expect?). We were always dressed the same for pictures….different colors usually but always the same. The background was a dramatic splotched brown/gray. Amy had a little shag hair cut and my hair was long and strait. I remember walking into this dim studio with big lights and cameras. The outcome was just what my mom wanted…portraits of her precious girls. She was so proud of these images of us and still has them up today. Amy…my sister and best friend…always by my side in pictures when we were young. Oh…I have been thinking, you know the rule that Mom had about the oldest always sitting in the front seat? You were right, it really was not fair. Love you!
I had such a wonderful session today with 3 beautiful sisters. We traveled a bit and were able to really capture some great images. I had a very hard time choosing the ones for my blog! The oldest Brittany is leaving for college tomorrow, this session was a special time for all. Here is a little preview Diane!

My kids. Three are in college now so I was on a mission to get all of them together for some photos. That is not easy when the 3 oldest are 18, 19 and 20 years old. It was an interesting shoot to say the least. All the techniques I put into motion in a portrait session did not work. These clients of mine know all of my tricks. I think they ran the shoot, strength in numbers.
I can not say enough of how proud I am of them. They are so different yet have so much in common. All with such amazing gifts…all so intelligent and caring. One wants to help the hurting, one wants to heal the sick, one wants to share her passion for literature, one wants to be a bull rider/nurse and the last wants to be a professional streaker/flasher. I am thrilled and can not wait to see how they impact this world. I am truly blessed…

1 for fun….so typical….

I was so fortunate to spend the evening with this lovely family. The children were darling and we really had a great time together. This little guy was such a character! Here is a little peek from the session. Enjoy the preview R family!
We had 2 visions for the session. 1 was to shoot on the farm for some "country kids" style images and the other was to create some formal portraits suitible for framed wall art. For the second shoot we photographed on the grounds of Font Hill, the former home of Henry Mercer in my town of Doylestown, PA. The location was a beautiful backdrop for our session.
Enjoy!
