Precious little girls in the studio yesterday. Here are a few of my favorites while proofing…

As this blog starts to wind down, and in anticipation of the new and improved one right around the corner, I thought it would be fun to post some of my personal favorites. This blog has been good to me. As of 9 pm today I have had 50,552 visitors since its inception.
I came across this photo of the lovely and marvelous Ashley and thought I would start with this image.

The little ones and I took a trip to visit Nick at school this weekend. Had to post a couple. We had a wonderful time with Nick and his buddies. Got some real insight into his life in college…a couple of surprises, a few “wow you have to be kidding me” moments. All in all a great time. To all the guys in the “Recon” House…thank you again for your hospitality and wearing out my kids so they would sleep the way home. Hi to Sharon too (not a guy in the house).

So many were people waiting with great anticipation for the birth of this little one. She will be loved, adored, hugged and kissed beyond measure. Surrounded by wonderful parents, family and friends who are already in love with everything about her.
Congratulations my friends. Hope you enjoyed the mac and cheese tonight. xoxo

Meet Justin! I was thrilled to photograph him today..I’ve been waiting patiently since he was born in September. His sister Lexi is all over this blog. Fun as always to spend time with this amazing family. Also great to meet Grandpa who was visiting from Utah.

I think this photo pretty much sums up how Brady felt about me this morning. He is one of my baby plan baby’s. Here is a link to our first session, one of my favorites ever. We are going to re-shoot later this week…stay tuned for more of this extreme cutie!

Susan and her lovely daughter Kirstin came for a session today. They needed to have some publicity shots taken for a book Susan has written. How exciting! As soon as I have some more information on the book I will pass it along here on the blog.
The time we spent together was wonderful. They are both beautiful, inside and out.
A little shout out to my daughter Amanda who is so far from me. I miss you, today more than usual you were on my mind. xoxo

For those who follow my blog know that my son Nick was in Africa for 3 weeks last month. I have to admit that it was a little hard for me. 2 extreme emotions, 1 of excitement for him and the other of worry knowing there is unrest throughout the country and they did travel extensively. Often while he was gone I would close my eyes and try to envision what he was seeing at that moment in time. The beauty of the land, the amazing people who call Africa their home, the sadness in the eyes of those who are suffering.
He came home last week full of stories and a love for a culture and people he was able to live with. Literally…he lived with them. In fact, I would not be surprised if he went back for an extended period of time after graduation.
Here is Africa through Nick’s eyes. The first shot was taken of him by a friend. I wanted to start with that one because I think it shows how comfortable he was there, he looks so happy. I would like to think that maybe he has inherited my love for photography. Personally I think he did a great job. Really nice.
